Terms of Reference:
The objective of the project was to train and empower a regional environmental NGO in Central Asia (CARNet, Environment and Sustainable Development in Central Asia) on how to effectively and innovatively use their website to improve communications and achieve their goals.
Main Activities and Outputs: During the course of one year, the main activities of this consultancy project were:
- Studying and evaluating the existing website and its possibilities;
- Conducting training sessions on various methods/best practices to effectively use the ICTs for civil society organisations;
- Sharing the Latvian experience of public policy website politika.lv;
- Conducting workshops on designing on-line consultations and combining on and off-line methods for outreach, advocacy and public consultations;
- Providing advice, both on-site and through on-line communications, on designing and implementing a regional on-line consultation on sustainable management of water resources;
- Evaluating conducted on-line consultation, developing recommendations for further activities.
